Privacy Policy

Arctos Media ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through arctosmedia.ca and how we use it. We keep it short because we keep the data collection short.

What we collect

• Contact form submissions: your name or company name, email address, the project type and budget range you select, and the project details you choose to write. We also record which form you used and when you sent it.
• Newsletter signups: your email address.

This website does not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

How we use it

• Contact submissions are used to respond to your inquiry and manage a potential project. Sending one also adds you to our leads list, so that we can follow up about your enquiry; you can ask us to remove you at any time and we will.
• To help us read enquiries quickly, an automated summary of what you wrote is generated by a language model and included in the notification we receive. No decision about you is made automatically — a person reads every enquiry.
• Newsletter addresses are used solely to send you our occasional dispatch. Signup is double opt-in, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe.

Where it lives

Your submission is stored in a database on a server we control, and is handled by a small number of services on our behalf: an email service that sends the acknowledgement and our internal notification, a mailing-list tool, and the tool that sends you the follow-up questionnaire. Some of these providers, and the language model described above, operate outside Canada, which means your information may be stored or processed in another country and be subject to that country's laws.

We keep enquiry records for as long as we have an active or prospective working relationship with you, and delete them on request.

Third-party embeds

Some pages may embed videos hosted on YouTube. Where they do, we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, which does not set tracking cookies unless you play the video. Once you play it, YouTube (Google) may collect data under its own privacy policy. At the time of writing, no page on this site loads an embed at all.

Your choices

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@arctosmedia.ca.
